It's not a new revelation that women's medical issues often get dismissed as anxiety. There's some good advice in the article. The four-week wait time for new symptoms seems a little long. Depending on what I'm experiencing, I'm more like 2 or 3 weeks tops.
My pituitary tumour was dismissed as depression, and I know my story is not unusual.
My ex-husband's pituitary tumour (wierd coincidence, I know) on the other hand, was diagnosed and treated immediately. Me, I had to wait until I started going blind for anyone to take me seriously.
That's frightening. I'm glad you did get treatment. Did you and your ex have different onset symptoms?
