They want to take my uterus.
I have stage 4 endometriosis aka DIE, and after several trips to the ER within the last few months and countless imaging done (multiple CTs and ultrasounds, one MRI), the surgeon I've been seeing about it thinks that taking my uterus is the only thing that they can do.
The endo has infiltrated so much, my ovaries are stuck together, I dread going to the bathroom because it's excruciatingly painful to poop. There's often blood. Cramps are hell, I bleed through layers upon layers of clothing and I have needed to wear a pad and a tampon (which I really hate) so I don't bleed all over the place in public. It's a fucking bloodbath.
I thought they'd just excise everything, cut all of the endo out and that would be that (until it grew back) but no... She thinks it's too severe and only a hysterectomy would help. I don't want children, but I also don't want to get rid of one of my organs. The thought of having something cut out of me that I've had my entire life and it just being tossed away like garbage makes me sick.
I'm afraid of developing dementia. I don't know if I want to stop having periods, it's what my body is supposed to do! But it looks like soon I'll be walking around with a huge empty space where my uterus used to be. Then what?
I've heard that hysterectomies, even in combination of an oophorectomy, won't stop endo from coming back.
Has anyone else here had a hysterectomy because of endometriosis?
They cope by not recognising they are feeling dissonance, only discomfort; and projecting on to their enemies.
Logic? Consistency? Connection to reality? You're asking too much of these people.

They are men. They don't have to prove anything. They say the words, and it becomes truth. That's how you know they are men.
They don't have to, because they're fucking stupid. They don't think about the contradiction at all.
They insist that taking estrogen will make them female on a cellular level, and magically remove those billions of XY chromosomes in those billions of somatic cells. They've seen too many shows like The Incredible Hulk where people are shapeshifting after they get mad or drink some potion.
It's magical thinking and a fundamental refusal to understand that male and female are two separate developmental pathways, starting at the moment of conception, that cannot be reversed. Total dishonest thinking because they have no rational or scientific arguments in their favor. They want to enforce rigid gender roles by forced sex changes. That's homophobic. That's what they do in totalitarian Muslim countries.
Mammals cannot change sex and gender is bullshit.
