This case has been in the news for a while and the report is finally out.

Choice excerpt from the article, out of the mouth of the primary investigator, Donna Ockenden:

“There was a tendency of the trust to blame mothers for their poor outcomes, in some cases even for their own deaths. What is astounding is that for more than two decades these issues have not been challenged internally and the trust was not held to account by external bodies."

2 decades of sweeping NHS failures under the rug. The same NHS which now tells women that men are female and that is still not being held to account properly by external bodies.

nods I have to take my hat off to the families that have pushed for this investigation. Unfortunately, this isn't the only area where this hospital trust has issues. They've been in special measures since 2018.
