Not lesbian, but Eleanor Roosevelt and Amelia Earhart dated!

Technically I wouldn't call Rose and Evangeline a lesbian couple either since E betrayed R for a man, despite she was already rich and needed not to do it. Evidence shows E has affection for the bishop she married, so she seems to be (by modern standards) Bi. One must wonder if the groom had some blackmail on her. Either way they maintained contact and eventually lived together again until Rose's death. Life had its twists and turns.

This is one of my favorite historical relationships. To my knowledge there has yet to be a film adaption for it and I would so like to see one! Gentleman Jack (about Anne Lister) was also a great serial and I'm so sad it was not renewed. I hope they'll give us Granny and Granchile soon

Anybody got an archive?

You can use archive.ph to archive a page (or check for an existing one) in future. This one was already archived:

Thanks! Please remember if you can't get past the paywall, archive pages will only archive the paywalled version. It's a very nice thing for someone who knows the site is paywalled to give us the archive link, too.

That's not always true. People use those sites specifically to get past the paywall. It depends on how the paywall was implemented though, so some may not work.
