"More sophisticated ..." Somehow, knowing women, I really doubt it.

This part really stood out to me, because the same thing happened centuries later, in "the West," where male doctors tried to discredit midwives and basically made it seem like they didn't know anything because they didn't have the same education as the men. Just history repeating itself...

This is so interesting, thanks for posting! I never really considered this topic much, but I suppose I assumed that women in the medical arts back then would've been as they were in the West- poisoners! lol
