Some jerk of a guy wrote an awful review about Alison's (author of article here in this post) book on Amazon. I tracked her book down there, thinking to read it, and his review was all out of proportion, he seemed way triggered by the menstruation business at the beginning and triggered for no reason by the cover. Very weird. Wonder if it was someone who didn't like her for some reason. Has a "personal grudge" feel to it.

That’s basically the state of so many book reviews now, more about personal animus than the book, even the formally published ones now.

Don’t let the somewhat weird title put you off, this is a wonderful read by Alison Smith on her week as Ursula Le Guin’s chauffeur and tour guide during a writing reisdency.
