This is a massive bibliography on pre- and early modern women artists and patrons compiled by two art historians, and is still regularly updated. Should be an invaluable resource for anyone studying or interested in women and art history before 1700.

This is good and all, but red states are really only defining "woman" so they can more precisely target their misogyny.

I don't think anyone has problems with targeting misogyny. Blue states did it just fine without the definition. Red/blue they all know who a woman is.

Probably. Still, a democratic lawyer now can't saw woman is a 'biological' term she can't define if asked to define it as its legal definition.
