Not sure if real bug or if tripped some 'suspicious behavior' alarm. Gave out invite code, profile made, verification email link clicked; browser message saying link had expired.
made a few invite codes at once
user had 'robot' in email address; is not actually a robot.
user using tor.
What was the time delay? I'd assume it was what it said it was that the link had expired. If you don't get an answer in a couple days to this, i would suggest your friend contact the invite email to get a new code. https://ovarit.com/wiki/invites
On the login page, at the bottom, there's a link for "Resend verification email". Has your invitee tried that option? edit: typo
yeah, tried at the time, didn't help (a new email came through but link still said it was expired when clicked). guess i'll send another code sometime and see if that works.
Thank you for reporting, because it helped us identify an issue that is also affecting other people. protonmail.com and proton.me are adding some gibberish onto the end of the verification link that causes our server to not recognize it and think it must be expired. We'll roll out a change to fix this, by ignoring anything extra tacked onto the link, in the next software update.
great! sorry, should've mentioned the email provider. though, then again, the issue might've been accidentally protecting the site against spam for a while! wonder how many other sites have been burned...
