Welcome to the itsafetish circle! We document examples of fetishism (primarily autogynephilia) within the trans community and discuss implications from a feminist perspective! We typically use Blanchard's typology of transsexualism as our framework.

The first time I visited the gynecologist -- my mom's doc -- she suggested that I could get a little "trim" down there if I wanted.
Yes, "she," an honest-to-goodness woman. And she wasn't talking about pubes.
I was probably late teens and had no idea there was anything wrong with me.
The first nanosecond I could, I got my own gyno.
Holy shit! That could totally mess up a woman or girl's head for life.
Well, fortunately I was reared by loving parents who never suggested I was anything but perfect. (At least until politics LOL)
After the gyno made that remark, however, you bet I checked out some soft-core porn (what I could find - this is eons before the Internet) and did happen to notice that compared with the ideal librarian-lips look I am a bit, uh, "floppy."
But seriously, as that was not a body part that I put regularly on public display, who TF cares?
And those who saw it privately? Never heard a single complaint.
I've heard it can be a thing women can be concerned with because of how women in porn look. It's a common procedure done to women in the industry. There are even Reddit porn subs for different "lengths." Of course. What a shocker. Ugh. I've seen women say on reddit that they got or want that surgery because they hate how they look. It's a shame.
Not only that but yes some men absolutely make horrible comments when you get undressed in front of them.
Sometimes it can be painful to have long labia minora. They can get sore on the seams of underwear or make cycling unpleasant. But I think that would be on the patient to bring that up with the gyn, not the gyn to suggest it during the first examination, jesus.
