I'm trying to uplift my fellow butch lesbians by giving them some love. I've felt kind of down lately, very isolated and like I've got nowhere to turn. I don't know many butch lesbians in real life, but sometimes just knowing there are other people like me out there is enough. I wanna be the change I wish to see, and all that.

Here are some of my favourite things about being butch:

The combination of style and comfort: I like putting together basic, yet timeless pieces that I can actually live in! My wardrobe is durable, and fits just how I like.
The feeling of confidence I get sometimes, just from doing little things, like wearing a sick pair of aviators or swaggering around. In those moments, I feel like I'm being Me, IDGAF what anyone else thinks!!!
Knowing that maybe, a little girl might see me out and about, and understand that it's ok to break the rules and not do what's expected of you. Especially if I'm with my gf, she might see that it's perfectly natural to be a lesbian, and we can grow up and live happy lives.
Being part of lesbian culture in a very visible way.

For the butch women I do know, there's so much I admire in them:

The diversity of personality: butch isn't put on or hammed up: we are full and well rounded people. The women I know have so many different talents and interests, and are so emotionally intelligent.
The strength and resilience: we have gone through some shit, we have been yelled at from speeding cars, endured nasty homophobia from people we trusted, have had our hearts broken, and much worse, but we do not let that stop us from putting our best selves on display! It does not stop us from loving each other and other women!

Butch lesbians!!! I ask you to love yourselves, grant yourselves some kindness today!! There are reasons to heal and appreciate just how far you've come!

Now it's your turn! Tell me something you like about yourself, or something you admire in butch women! It doesn't have to be deep!

Every now and then I go through my finances and try to look if I can leave companies that support gender identity ideology - and tell those companies why I am leaving

Might be something possible even on a low income

They will change when it costs them

And for people who are doubtful… look at ABInBev and the ‘Dylan Mulvaney’ scandal. People no longer buying their beer hit them hard

Gender-critical or trans-critical content lacking a lesbian focus will be removed.
No derailing or hijacking. This refers to posting a comment that is unrelated to the topic of the post, which often kills the original discussion.
No pornography. NSFW posts must be marked as such.
No selfies or other sharing of personal identifying information; no spam; and no self-promotion.
No using the exclusivity of the circle in bad faith towards/about the rest of the site, its content, or other users, who cannot respond if they've been misunderstood or misrepresented.
