Is it bad that for a second I didn’t think that was a screencap, but just an average TIM photo?
Realistically what’s even the difference
It actually took me until the lotion in the basket to realize, I've never seen the movie lmao
It’s a brilliant film, really recommend you see it. Jonathan Demme understood women. The framing of so many of Clarice’s scenes from her PoV as a young woman in male-dominated environments was so novel at the time. The TRAs want it cancelled, of course, so that’s another reason to see it.
Yeah
The scene where her boss leaves her alone in a room full of large cops
And the scene feels endless, as the men are all gauging her on a scale of fuckability
The TRAs want it cancelled, of course
Are you kidding me?? Lol of course you're not. Jfc
Lurking tims: "I don't get it. This seems perfectly fine. What's the joke?""
Lurking handmaidens: "you go, girl! You are so beautiful, I'm totally jealous of your hair"
"Likes kink - has a dungeon and a hose pipe."
I'm just disappointed there's no dirty mirror and massive amounts of clutter.
Likes kink - has a dungeon and a hose pipe
is this... a meme? a Fred(a) Wallace reference? something else?
Just referencing the "it puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again" bit when Catherine(?) is imprisoned underground.
Have you seen Silence of the Lambs?
I haven't, srry, although I know the basic contours of the plot (with the current transanity how could I not).
That’s fine. Basically, the guy in the meme (Buffalo Bill) was so turned on by the thought of himself as a woman that he abducted and murdered young women to make suits out of their skin. He wouldn’t kill them immediately, though; instead, he had a pit in his (very dirty) basement, where he would hold the woman hostage and force them to apply lotion constantly.
It is so good, imo it's the best psychological thriller of all time. Watch it!!!!
Also I love that he's 91 miles away. The movie came out in 1991. Valentine's Day to be exact
Agreed. And despite being written and directed by men, it's one of the few movies I've seen where a female character in a professional setting is just constantly having to navigate men's feelings about it endangering/getting in the way of her ability to do her job (say, Chilton seeing an opportunity to hit on her, not GAF that she's there for an important reason, then getting spiteful and petulant and interfering when she (carefully) turns him down). There's a constant subtle undercurrent of sexism that's almost background noise in light of the horror that just rings true for me that you don't see often.
Cool
Looks like if you put a face filter on that Australian TIM who is trying to sue his way into that lesbian app, giggle
Lol! Very funny :)
But the fact that this is kind of realistic... :(
But the fact that this is kind of realistic... :(
wedding band and all
Is that photoshopped or was he supposed to be married in the movie?
Oh my god I didn’t even catch that, good eye
Profiles like this make up at least 50% percent of the HER app nowadays 🤣
They need to change the name to SHIM
Or TIM.
