I know many women with endometriosis who were “treated” with Lupron and never regained ovary function.

holy shit. why is lupron a treatment for that?? what is it supposed to do?

Because there is a widespread belief amongst doctors that hormones treat endometriosis even when they do not. There can be some relief gained by entering an artificial (medical) menopause. I was on a similar drug called danazol that left me with some terrible permanent side effects.

Any relief is temporary and at what cost?

Lupron severely depresses production of sex hormones. GnRH agonist. And it has a ton of really nasty side effects.

It was developed for palliative care for end-stage prostate cancer. It's no joke.
