alternative theory: this isn't about him being a "chaser" but a man recognizing women who are vulnerable. it takes a lot of internalized misogyny for a woman to go down that path.

(not saying this to victim-blame them. just pointing out how predatory he is.)

It's an incredible strategy. These women behave stereotypically like women (in my experience, TIPs behave more stereotypically like their sex than the average person), so they won't meaningfully try to fight back against a rapist or even go out of their way to avoid him, and, once he rapes them, they're going to be afraid to say anything, because of female socialization having them identity with their attacker, because they've bought into the lies that TIMs are vulnerable, and because they can't very well admit to being raped without harming their own pretend identities as men.
