It's probably her way of shielding herself from the truth. "Chasing" sounds a little less agressive than "targeting" or "assaulting", and she either really believes that she and her roommates are men and that rapist is a woman, or she tries very, very hard to keep up that smokescreen so she won't have to deal with that awful reality in which being a transman doesn't save her or her friends from being raped and assaulted.

She doesn't really believe that shit. I'm convinced that adults who claim to truly believe this crap are just lying. If you truly believe this, you are either

  • intellectually disabled

  • a child and therefore naive/gullible

or

  • mentally ill

This isn't to insult anyone who previously identified as trans, it's just factual
