I am an amateur bartending enthusiast and I find the concept of "girly drinks" hilarious. I mix them and most of them have WAY more actual alcohol in them than a pint of lager. I laugh at your puny 4 to 7% abv. snort

Is it bad that I kind of love that the author takes a swipe at the overly PC writer who refuses to name women in a book on women and drinking? The reviewer correctly notes that “none of the societies surveyed had any trouble telling a woman from a man.” I think I like the review better than the actual book because reading “all genders” for women would annoy me inside of a chapter.

Adding to my reading list, especially since I love those "girly drinks." I recently discovered Dirty Shirleys, and couple doubles will knock you on your ass. Yummy!
