And, shucks, by the way, I cannot help myself: who was unfortunate enough to have witnessed the horror show of Thursday night here in the US?
On the subject of abortion bans, after Trump iterated his position on the usual trifecta of exceptions - rape, incest, life-of-the-mother, Biden responded with yet another example of the utterly incoherent, incomprehensible gibberish he was spewing mumbling all night. But this one may well be the most bizarre. In just one part of the randomly tossed word salad, he allowed that rape victims in need of an abortion are most often victimized by their “in-laws, spouses, brothers, sisters.”
i noticed that about the in-laws. I think fathers, uncles, brothers are more common. It's pretty bazar to say sisters. I suppose he was trying to be gender neutral.
This circle is for discussing anything and everything relating to women's history, even if it's not explicitly feminist.
