I just realized it's the dourness of it all that gets to me

While I was brushing my teeth earlier I realized what I find so sad and off-putting about this whole new trans/nb/queer stuff. It's just so dour, hostile, joyless...always looking to pick fights, scream and shout, insult, call to arms etc. Where is the joy? Where is the fun? Gay pride, drag queens, gay bars etc. are so life-affirming, so full of love, so ready to embrace instead of antagonize. Or at least those things used to be before everything was taken over by this new cult. It's simply heartbreaking.

Lesbians had to fight for so much and still, have you ever been threatened by a butch lesbian because you called her "he" by mistake? I bet she laughed and cracked a joke. Have you ever heard a gay man that had to go through the entire HIV crisis yell "literal violence" because the train announcer didn't include him specifically? He was probably happy to live his best life and go home to his husband. I really don't understand what's going on with people.
