PodcastMen in women's prisons
So I'm listening to one of my favorite podcasts, "Ear Hustle" about life begins bars. This week they had the obligatory trans episode. What it revealed was fascinating.
In California, inmates can choose a men's or women's prison depending on their "gender identity". Of course, many TIMs chose to go to the women's prison. But not ONE inmate knew of a TIF(biological female, identified as male) who chose to go to the men's prison. The reason was a total consensus: it's not safe for people with female body parts to be around men inmates. Everyone agreed. So we must keep the TIFs safe by keeping them in the female prison, even though they identify as men. But! No one cares about the biological women in the women's prison, having men move in with them. No one cares about their safety. Considering women in prison often have a traumatic history this makes me sick
Simple solution, designate the prisons as follows instead of men's/women's:
and let the offender choose which prison they want to go to. Guaranteed they will sort themselves into the prison they deserve.
A Slightly Twisted Female is in New Jersey right now, protesting men being put in female prisons. I hope she stays safe.
Completely agree here...I haven't heard of a single TIF that wanted to be placed into a Male jail. I wonder how many women would be upset or threatened by having to share a cell with a TIM?
Today a TIM in a group of women said how he had been banned from another group for vulnerable women for showing one of the women porn on his phone.
He said the worker who banned him was 'Transphobic'.
But surely it had more to do with muscling in to a woman's space and taking advantage of the situation.
This man self~ identifies as a ''Lesbian''. He has a penis.
The sooner women are allowed to speak out openly about stuff like this, the better.
