From April 27-29, the Genspect organization has been hosting a parallel conference, A Bigger Picture, in Killarney, Ireland, down the street from EUPATH's simultaneous gathering where, apparently, the main topics for discussion were surgeries, medicalization, PR, and little else.
Genspect, meanwhile, is hosting a wide array of speakers from all walks of life to offer an alternative perspective on the issue, including detransitioners like Chloe Cole and "heretic" biologists like Colin Wright.
EUPATH apparently doesn't like all the attention that Genspect is getting (there are documentary filmmakers in attendance checking the conference out), so it blocked them on Twitter in a huff.
WPATH and its regional chapters like EUPATH and USPATH are clearly not a scientific organization but an ideological lobby. Writer Colette Colfer delivered a presentation about trans as a political religion, and Eliza Mondegreen even reported that EUPATH played Journey's "Don't Stop Believin,'" which is really telling: trans ideology is quite plainly an article of (bad) faith.
