I think women need to start suing the health insurance companies, too, because it is completely unfair that a man claiming to be a woman can get his permanent hair removal covered or get a high quality woman's wig if he's balding, but a hirsute woman with the diagnosed medical condition of PCOS can't get her hair removal paid for, not even if it is highly visible on her face and may contribute to poor self-esteem, social anxiety, and mockery or even discrimination, and women who are severely balding don't get their high quality wigs paid for either, even if the hair loss stems from a documented and diagnosed medical condition.

yeah... I have PCOS and it had a HUGE impact on my mental health as a teenager. It pisses me off how girls like me are now being convinced they're not really women. It's easier to "become men" than to treat PCOS. Everything PCOS related is "just cosmetic." It gave me a LOT of sympathy early on for kids who hate their bodies but over time I realized... you are taking kids with healthy functioning bodies and DESTROYING their reproductive systems.

I GAG when I see women gleefully posting selfies of their facial hair.

My husband's work is very proud to cover gender affirming medical treatments. I have told him to ask if they wil cover laser for PCOS and ... he won't.
