Like probably a lot of women, I am frequently short on time to do the digging I’d like. Is there a bibliography of research on
the so called history of trans people (in re “they have always been here”. Maybe there has been a third space for gay or effeminate men but there’s no way it’s been articulated the way it is today)
ROGD
sex differences in sport (this is easy to find but might be helpful to have in an easy to access resource )
the risk to women and children of men in our spaces
male patterned behaviour viz a viz violence post “transition”
cost to women’s reproductive healthcare in the US, UK, CAN, AUS and elsewhere when trans care is favoured (availability of hormones, availability of abortion care in red US states given planned parenthood’s focus)
detransition and desisting rates
suicide rates pre & post affirmation (5, 10+ years) Vs controls (if available)
rate of concurrent disorders
sexed brains
research on publication biases (viz a viz “why is Nature publishing this and you are saying nonsense”)
I’m aware this territory is well covered in recent books, which I will be very happy to read when I have the time. Also have read things in passing, just don’t have time to search
If there is scholarly research I can cite to my STEM-field brother (who has ASD) that would be helpful. (Truthfully, I know it’ll be a waste of time, as he’s mostly interested in confirming his own biases and finding ways to dismiss solid research.)
Also apologies that I’m not doing this myself, am fully capable of it and would if I weren’t cleaning urine off the floor and taking people to and from the ER every week
Edit: also - looking for the BEST research available. Saw a study on ROGD, participants were parents from a support group reporting on their perceptions, method was survey… I know sometimes that sort of thing is the best available and proper research is damn near impossible but anything less easily dismissible would be optimal
Edit: come to think of it I’m sure the amazing books out now have bibliographies
