RantFollow-up to my post last year
Earlier this year, I posted about how I was failed by those who swore to "do no harm."
TL;DR: I came out as transgender at 11, was placed on puberty blockers as 12, testosterone at 13, and had top surgery at 14.
It has been nine months since my last testosterone dose, yet I still have the estrogen level of a pre-pubescent girl. My period has not returned. I have no sensation in my breasts (what's left of them, anyway). And last month I was diagnosed with osteoporosis.
And now I'm trying to figure out how to change my sex marker back to F on my birth certificate. There's plenty of resources online about changing it in the first place, but how am I supposed to prove "I have undergone clinically appropriate treatment for gender transition" to female when I already am female?
I was a minor when my name and sex marker were changed. I wish I could just hand the court my original birth certificate and ask them to make this one official again, but I have a feeling it's going to be more complicated (and expensive) than that.
I wish I could go back and tell my eleven-year-old self that it's okay to be a girl. I wish trans organizations didn't make it seem like childhood transition is harmless and easily reversed if you change your mind.
Women struggled to be admitted to universities, to win the vote, to have financial control over their lives. They're still struggling to preserve their reproductive rights. TiMs never had to fight for any of these things.
Heck, they're still struggling to be born, to even be seen as members of the human species . . .
This reminds me of Dave Chappelle's joke about how the trans rights movement is a rich White man's hobby. And how it would have gone if all the trans-women were poor Black people...

I bet if TIMs were treated like real women they would be fed up with "being a woman" really quickly...
Shut up and be happy, you can vote right? And rape is illegal. There's no inequality here. You're completely equal to men and face no sexism-based issues. In fact, you have an inverted-penis pass and are actually better off than everyone else.

Yes lmao with the way they talk about sex and gender it’s as if femaleness is some abstract thing in Absolute Form out there that they are actually capturing the most accurately somehow. How CLASSICALLY MALE.
