QuestionQuestion: Pronoun Usage in Bios
Posted March 8, 2024 by epb in GenderCritical

A few weekends ago I went to SIX the Musical in the city and there were some TIMs in the playbill. It seemed to me that the women who were in the playbill used female pronouns less than the TIMs did in their bios. I wondered if I was just imagining things so I decided to do a small review of the department I'm currently working in. My small sample size of 6 directors at my agency comparing my TIM boss' boss' bio to the other directors' bios showed that the female directors used pronouns 4-6 times in their bios, the men used pronouns 5-6 times, and the TIM used them 8 times.) The TIM used pronouns more frequently than either other group.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I truly can't fathom how anyone can read shit like this and think its anything other than sheer stupidity.

I can’t, either. And so many of my allegedly intelligent friends have completely swallowed it.
