Does anyone know of any good media (books, movies, YouTube channels, anything) that either features or discusses gender roles and nonconformity from a “gender abolitionist” viewpoint? I don’t want anything that’s like “women have uteruses and thus must be feminine/nurturing/mothers” from the conservative side, but I also don’t want anything that’s like “women who are not feminine or who don’t want to be mothers must actually be men or some other kind of not-women”. I’m looking for anything, fiction or nonfiction, that looks at gender as a bunch of stereotypes and social expectations designed to uphold a certain social order, not some kind of innate or divine aspect of the self. Thanks in advance!
