Well, he's out.
I know gender ideology wasn't the only reason why he sucked, but it was a big one. Watching his self-pitying speech today was like stepping into a warm bath. I'm not sure why he's bragging that he was a brown man who beat all the odds to become First Minister of Scotland. He wasn't elected and was unpopular from the start. There are no positives in his legacy, and much of the work Scotland will focus on is undoing the damage that he did. He's got nothing to be smug about. Nor does he have any reason to feel "honored." He's universally hated, even by the Greens and Labour. He's only got reason to be embarrassed and ashamed, because he's leaving in disgrace.
Personally, I think he could have survived a lot of his bullshit, but his misogyny was just too much for any Scottish woman to ignore. His treatment of Ash Regan, his dismissal of women's safety, and his refusal to include women as a marginalized group in his stupid hate speech Stasi laws.
He's presenting his resignation as a brave step: “I am not willing to trade in my values or principles or do deals with whomever simply for retaining power.”
No, Humza. You lost everybody. You resigned because you had to. You were planning to continue your bullshit on Friday, ignoring everyone's vote of no confidence because you truly believe you are the smartest fucker to be found. You thought you could sway your opponents, thinking you are cleverer than they are. Once you found that you couldn't, you resigned because there was no other choice.
And oh, how sweet it is that a SCOTTISH TERF was the one who finally put your head on a spike. That Ash Regan was the one who held your fate in your hands, and she chucked you across her office to the little basketball hoop above her rubbish bin, and scored a perfect shot!

Nope. Probably not. I think politicians are going to want to distance themselves from you as quickly as possible. You should have stuck within the boundaries. Leave free speech alone, leave women alone, leave children alone. You didn't do that.
