QuestionWho are the gay men in the US speaking out like Andrew Doyle?
Posted September 4, 2024 by m0RT_1 in GenderCritical

Just watched this conversation where Andrew Doyle succinctly summarizes how antigay the pride movement has become and wondered. I noticed Douglas Murray gets imported for his opinions. Are there high-profile American gay men speaking out?

Andrew Doyle: Pride Is an Anti-Gay Movement - approx 19min https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee9WgZhdtdU

I don't know how this Dad Saves America dude is and couldn't be bothered researching him, so don't come for me if he is "problematic".

Are there high-profile American gay men speaking out?

There are number of American gay men who make videos on YouTube in which they criticize gender identity ideology, what the Pride movement has turned into, "queer theory" and politics, and the extreme elements of the so-called "LGBTQ+ community," industry and culture - Amir Odom, AJ Sanchez, Thai Rivera, Brad Polumbo, others whose names escape me at the moment.

A number of gay men who formerly "identified as " so-called "transwomen" - and some gay men who still do - have spoken out against the excesses of Pride and the present-day " LGBTQ+ and trans agenda as well. They include Cori Cohn, Shapeshifter, Morgin Dupont, and of course Blaire White.

But none of these men are anywhere near as high-profile as Andrew Doyle and Douglas Murray are.

Andy Ngo and Dave Rubin have spoken out against various the extreme elements of "LGBTQ+" movement for many years. Mike Harlow has been speaking out for the last 5 years. They all are labelled far right wing, and thus in mainstream "liberal" and "progressive" circles they get dismissed as cranks, bigots, nut jobs.

Benjamin Ryan is a gay American journalist who for the past couple of years has been specializing in covering and exposing the "youth gender medicine" industry.

Chad Felix Greene is a gay American man who used to write articles critical of the trans movement and gender identity politics that were published in the conservative outlets like The Federalist. I don't know what he's up to nowadays.

Glenn Greenwald has been critical too. But Pride and LGBTQ politics and culture are not Greenwald's focus. So he doesn't speak on these topics as often as Doyle and Murray have.

However, for the views he's expressed about these topics, particuarly on Twitter/X, Greenwald has been tarred as a "transphobe," "far-right-rage tweeter," liar and "useful idiot" fronting for the far right by journalists and pundits "on the left" like Brihanna Joy Gray, Sam Seder and Emma Viegland of the Majority Report.

For a variety of reasons starting with the massive difference in the physical size and population of the USA and the UK, I think it's a bit easier for journalists, authors and public speakers with the views and rational approach of Andrew Doyle or Douglas Murray - or Helen Joyce, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Lionel Shriver - to obtain the stature of a high-profile public intellectual and cultural commentator and garner a broad audience base in the UK than it is in the USA.

Andrew Doyle is the guy who writes Jonathan Pie and Titania McGrath? I can’t stand him but I am sure there is no shortage of “anti-woke” comedians in the U.S. Some of them must be gay.

If you mean who’s speaking up against the gender cult more generally, Fred Sergeant, who was one of the Stonewall rioters and a founder of the Gay Pride movement is a vocal defender of same-sex attraction and supporter of the LGB Alliance.

The guy who does the Disaffected podcast

Doyle was the guy who was mad at the “ultras,” right? All nose in the air at women who won’t play the pronoun game and say that men are men. This is not to come for you, OP. Just to make clear that so many people seem to almost get it, but want to mark themselves as not troublesome, like those of us who won’t tiptoe through the language games.

Yeah he is a gay man so ultimately he is more sympathetic to the bros.

Would Andrew Sullivan count? He lives in America, but he wasn't born here.
