DiscussionEerie similarities between trans madness and Salem
Posted November 22, 2024 by MaryDyer in GenderCritical

So I’m doing my yearly Salem book read (I buy a different book during my yearly trip there, since different authors have their own theories about what precipitated it), and I’m at the part where they go to arrest Martha Cory, and I realize just how reminiscent it is of women like KJK having cops show up at their houses because they “misgendered” someone, or “were untoward about pedophiles”.

An excerpt:

On Saturday, March 12, Edward Putnam, brother of Thomas and uncle of Ann, as well as Ezekiel Cheever, the far from impartial reporter of the accused witches’ examinations, called on Martha at her home just over the line from Salem Village in Salem Town. They had come directly from Thomas Putnam’s, where twelve-year-old Ann had been complaining that Goody Cory often appeared to her and tortured her.

The notion of an old woman being arrested because her “specter” was going out and poking children with invisible needles (ie committing “violence”) is much like the notion of someone being visited by the police because she called a man a man over the internet.

And the histrionics of the afflicted girls of Salem Village, both inside the court and out, are all too similar to the behavior of trans activists who make scenes and show themselves to be absolute clowns.

An excerpt:

All this time, as the background to Hathorne’s hostile questioning, the girls had been screaming that Martha was biting, pinching, and strangling them.

I’m picturing it now. KJK or JKR are put on trial or something for “misgendering”, and the entire time there’s a group of men with greasy hair and spinny skirts screeching about how “SHE’S GENOCIDING US!!!!!!!”

I’m literally picturing it right now!

If I was a TIF that would make me apoplectic.

All that effort to escape and yet your inability to actually escape is a punchline.

Maybe women should unite and overthrow sexist roles instead of trying to individually escape.

Ana Mardoll IS a TIF, weirdly enough. A very screwed up one.

This sums it up so tragically perfectly. I really, really hope women who imagine that they can “identify” their way out of misogyny pay attention to stuff like this, because it comes up so ridiculously often.

Yes, "womanhood" in a nutshell, well, respectable "womanhood" anyway. There's always the other things females are forced to be relegated to because of males...

What dumb fuck. So, females continue to do the dishes regardless of their imaginary religious identity? No way, how could that be????? I can't believe someone typed that and didn't have a "wait a sec…" moment.

The utter stupidity, like thought y'all wanted to be men so you didn't have to do forced unpaid female centered labour hmm?
