"Oh shut up. If language bothers you so much then I suggest psychotherapy, not policing an internet forum. Don't project your bigoted beliefs onto other people. If you're not here to support, as the forums intention, then leave."

I'm a member of a website originally set up to support straightspouses, who discover their SO, partner, husband/wife is gay/trans. I joined in 2017 and the Support Forum has been with me all through my separating-from-the-Mindfuck journey. The last few years has seen a change in the site. The words "partners of trans" was added to the welcoming spiel (I never understood the need to differentiate) and while yip, of course partners of trans belong there .. when the partner is using them/they/he/him/she/her language, and are obviously not gender critical...well, that's an issue for me.
So I suggested, politely, that this trans ally would be better off looking for support on a queer/trans-focused website.

I received the above reply. It'll be interesting to see how this is handled but I think once you let one trans ally in you invite them all in. And it'll be to the detriment of us/me the straightspouse.

Linkposts to social media posts are only allowed if the link is to a gender critical feminist's posts, and the "GC Social Media" flair is only to be used when linking to gender critical feminists. If you want to start a discussion about a different kind of social media post, make a text post conversation starter instead of a linkpost, same as with videos.

Gender Critical Feminism

Feminism is the movement to liberate women from patriarchy. We stand up for the rights of women to control our own bodies as individuals and to control women-only spaces as a class.

Women are adult human females. We do not believe that men can become women by 'feeling' like women or 'identifying' as women. We condemn the erasure of females and female-only spaces, the silencing of critical thinking, the cancelling of feminists and critics, the denial of biological reality and of sex-based oppression. We oppose the 'cotton ceiling' and the pressure on lesbians to have sex with men. Women are oppressed to exploit their biological sex characteristics, and women have a right to a movement that is about their own liberation from that oppression. We resist the redefinition of both "women" and "feminism" to make them serve men.
