So excited! Love the clear language used here, and it's great that several organizations have declared their support already.
Part of me thinks it would be great if there were legal consequences for lying about one's sex on legal documents. The other part of me wonders what an appropriate punishment would be when the state agreed with the ridiculous changes without an investigation to truly determine someone's sex.
It's still fraudulent/perjurious, right? Lying about one's obvious physical condition?
I think not charging them over this may be a compromise position going forward.
Good luck to all involved.
In the US, we have a patchwork of State and Federal regulations. Not sure what would work here.
