A great post here a few days ago, thanks @Tiktaalik: https://ovarit.com/o/GenderCritical/638453/new-yougov-polling-is-pretty-damning-the-shifts-are-big
referenced polling on transgender issues.
The polls have a lot of data, but what stood out to me was this question: "Some people say their gender identity does not match their sex assigned at birth. Do you think this is because of...? Biological factors/ Social factors/ A combination of both/ Not sure
Democrats/ Harris voters tended to have higher numbers for Biology or a combination While Republicans/ Trump voters were higher for Social factors. Biology for Democrats was 29% vs 9% for Republicans Social was 10% Dem vs 39% Republican.
So if you believe that someone is trans because of their biology ("born this way") you are going to be much more accepting of them than if you think it is caused by social influences.
