And I hope more men follow in his footsteps and continue claiming these awards, and I hope more of them take the opportunities that have been specifically allocated to women in Hollywood.
It's one of the things that will make them start noticing how utterly deranged this thing they're all cheerleading is. They more than most others continue to invite these men into women-only spaces and continue advocating for men to enter these spaces.
Once they start losing their own opportunities, and once their own spaces are invaded, perhaps they'll start to recognise how bad things have gotten for the rest of us and how dangerous these men are.
I hope he wins that goddamn Oscar.
