Hi, hesitated to post this but I'm feeling at a loss. I'm still baffled that doctors are running with the idea that we can change sex or attempt to, and that the solution to dysphoria is hormones and plastic surgery. These experimental treatments on mostly young people has me incensed. I'm also trying to conceive and it's mind boggling all of the fear mongering for woman, yet for TIFs it's utterly fine to pump yourself full of testosterone and have a baby? Don't even get me started on the breastfeeding men, and the support from the NHS and La Leche.

I don't identify as right wing, crunchy religious mom, or a conspiracy theorist, which has made this all the more painful and made me feel politically homeless and lost. I'm struggling to trust a system that upholds these beliefs around biological sex. It makes me question if they are willing to gaslight us about this, what else are they lying about? I don't want to become some anti vax/anti science kind of person, but my faith feels like it's being broken bit by bit.

Was wondering if any other GC feminist were feeling the same? It's so rough out there.

Gender Critical Feminism

Feminism is the movement to liberate women from patriarchy. We stand up for the rights of women to control our own bodies as individuals and to control women-only spaces as a class.

Women are adult human females. We do not believe that men can become women by 'feeling' like women or 'identifying' as women. We condemn the erasure of females and female-only spaces, the silencing of critical thinking, the cancelling of feminists and critics, the denial of biological reality and of sex-based oppression. We oppose the 'cotton ceiling' and the pressure on lesbians to have sex with men. Women are oppressed to exploit their biological sex characteristics, and women have a right to a movement that is about their own liberation from that oppression. We resist the redefinition of both "women" and "feminism" to make them serve men.
