Just had a look online at the various responses coming up from TIPs and TRAs re the (hopefully soon to be struck off) Dr Upton - I really shouldn’t be surprised by now but it’s astonishing the collective lack of brain cells on display.
Dear lurkers, Mr Upton is a man, a biological male. Therefore, he is not welcome in ANY female only spaces and his refusal to accept that is, yes, perverted. Even more perverted and disgusting is impeding the rights of females to have female only care. He has displayed a blatant lack of understanding of basic science (no, sex really isn’t that complex - it’s a binary system whichever way you slice it) and he deserves the criticism he is getting. And in case you were wondering, no, I would never be happy being treated by a ‘trans’ doctor as I have no interest being treated by people living at the behest of a delusion and/or fetish.
Sandie Peggie, if you ever read Ovarit, we are 1000% behind you. I am so sorry you have been put through such hell by this gaslighting man and also the hell the NHS trust has put you through by being a doormat for trans ideology. Thank you for what you are doing in this case. You are a brave woman and I really hope the verdict of this case is in your favour. Keep up the good fight, we are all standing with you.
To be fair, "just explain that you really want to" is how they get most of what they want.
And if his male privilege is denied, then he can throw a big screeching fit about lack of inclusion.
That's not fair.
It's also 'because I'll be sad if you don't let me'
Along with either an implied or explicit threat to seek Canadian healthcare.
Not to mention the fact that he wants to play a woman who was, you know, decapitated for not giving birth to a son who lived
Dude doesn’t care that she was an actual human being and a victim of femicide and misogyny. Don’t care how long ago it was, she was a real person who’s memory matters.
Though back then, only men in drag were allowed to be on stage sooo.....
It used to be that in principle I woudn't necessarily object to men playing women's parts, if they auditioned and were actually good for the part. I can remember seeing a fantastic male Lady Bracknell back in the day. But now, like with any other male gender nonconformity, because of genderwoo I wouldn't be OK with it, even if he actually was good for the part - because he'd be making us lie, and because he'd have taken a part from a woman.
Because that could be the only thing possibly in the way of him getting one of the leads in his school musical.
Lmfao, imagine walking into a job interview and just saying "can I have the job? I really want it." These people are so entitled.
