NewsClinic Staffer Tells Arielle Scarcella in A Recorded Conversation That Insurers Are No Longer Providing Texas Doctors with Malpractice Coverage for "Gender Affirming" Mastectomies on Minors
In a video by Sydney Watson posted yesterday 9 March 2022, Arielle Scarcella called a clinic in Texas known for doing "gender affirming" double mastectomies on girls as young as 12 and pretended be a mother inquiring about obtaining such surgery for her young daughter.
The staffer Scarcella spoke to told her that yes, the clinic used to do double mastectomies - aka masculinizing "top surgeries" - on girls as young as 12. But she said they've now ceased because as soon as the Texas governor and CPS instituted the new state policy calling such procedures child abuse, the clinic's malpractice insurers stopped providing coverage for medically unnecessary double mastectomies on minors:
"literally when that first mandate came through they dropped our malpractice insurance for the doctors instantly for anyone under 18. And then they said not only were we supposed to turn in the parents, but we could get turned in."
