Seems to me theres a fundamental problem with the left relying labor unions as the primary mechanism for social change. In a male dominated industry, for example, its hard for women to advocate for maternity leave and breast feeding needs etc without hindering their own career and while getting enough support. Are men likely to strike for a right that doesnt benefit them? When something has the cultural dominance of gender, how do you oppose it without risking your job, career, and ability to feed your family? How do indigenous people advocate for indigenous needs within white-dominated unions? What about people with disabilities, the chronically unemployed, or stay-at-home mothers? You can try to coach the men to "be kind" to whoever appears the most oppressed but thats a large part of how Trans gained dominance.

We on the left need to maintain a strong womens union, in addition to trade unions, to fight for our specific rights and needs as they exist in opposition to the trade unions. Women do the majority of unpaid caring and domestic labour, and the majority of trade unions are the working class men who benefit from this extraction of labour. A lot of the time the needs of the working class will fully align with each other, but sometimes they dont and we need a structure to represent ourselves and leverage our own power.

"The People's Party"

I bet, if Starmer et al were hooked up to a lie detector and asked "are human females -you know, the humans born with uterus, ovaries etc - people?" it would go off if they said yes. Only men in dresses count.
