Archiving things
Posted March 23, 2025 by Iota_Aurigae in GenderCritical

I'm posting this here since this circle has the most people subscribed to it. If you want to archive posts and comments you've made here, or posts by other people that you enjoy, here's what I recommend.

Use a combination of archive.ph, ghostarchive.org, and the WebRecorder extension.

Archive.ph is good for your average post with some text, a link, or video, and a few comments.

Ghostarchive.org works with posts with the NSFW tag, since you can still click to unblur. However, if there's an image attached to the post that is also blurred, you may have to save the image url through ghostarchive as well.

If you use either of those, save the link to your bookmarks or whatever you please.

WebRecorder is a browser extension which works with Google Chrome. I imagine it works with other browsers as well, but I don't know for sure. It's the tool that ghostarchive.org uses to archive websites.

I recommend using WebRecorder for anything you want saved locally. While archiving a site using the extension, you can interact with other elements, such as the click to unblur on NSFW tagged posts, or clicking to load more comments on a post or thread.
