Dear Men Pretending to Be Women,
You've probably come here because you heard this place is closing. So you came to have a look before it's gone. You know, just to tell everyone how terrible it all is, right?
Right?
But that's not the real reason you're here. Is it? It's okay, it's almost the end here, it's okay to be honest.
You're here because this place gives volume and substance to that nagging little voice in the back of your head that tells you every day that you're faking it. The voice you make topics on r/MTF about, topics which are designed to help you ignore that little voice. r/MTF is great for that, great at drowning out reason and logic with chants and slogans.
But not this place. This place is the scab you're told not to pick. Ovarit is so unhealthy, everyone is mean! But you pick the scab anyway. It itches, it's not going away, just one little scratch won't hurt, right? Just one little peek?
Just one little peek at Ovarit, just to see how wrong they all are, just one little look.
And then you see all the same things that are in your head, like things about how you know it's just a sex fetish, only now these things are written down and other people are saying them. And they're not written down in a place where other transes will immediately reassure you that these things aren't true.
Just one little peek! Just a scratch!
Here's the bad news, TransWoman: you will only realize years from now that this place was trying to help you. This place was one of the only ones telling you the truth, unaltered by personal agenda or fetishism.
And in your nonstop pursuit of sexual gratification, you ignored it. You chose boners and ugly dressup outfits and that stupid fucking voice you do instead.
Years from now, after your chosen community has pushed you closer and closer to suicide, you will remember the places that told you the truth, and that this was one of them. You will arrive, at last, at the truth that you don't need cross-sex drugs or surgical mutilation, you don't need constant sexual arousal, and you don't need to commit suicide out of desperation when the promises of this ideology inevitably fall short.
And you will remember that you ignored the voices telling you that truth and chose your boners instead. You ignored the people telling you things which you know are true, and chose the side urging suicide instead.
You want to believe that the people here hate you and say mean things just to hurt your feelings. In a sense, your assertion is now coming true, because now at the end, the members of this community will finally do the worst thing they could possibly do to you: leave you to yourself.
