Newsflash: bathroom protests won’t work
Inspired by the TIM recently arrested in Florida after daring cops to charge him with trespassing while using the women’s restroom.
I’m writing this post as an act of kindness, because I can’t stand to see TIPs embarrassing themselves due to their overactive wishful thinking (it’s one of the reasons I’m against the trans movement).
Quit with the fantasy that bathroom protests are your path to victory. Believing this is just that delusional little gremlin in your head talking. You know, the same delusional gremlin that has you thinking you’ve become the opposite sex. Yeah, that troublesome fucker. Learn to ignore him.
Comparisons to the Civil Rights movement don’t hold water, so quit with that too. You’re not Rosa Parks minding her business on the bus, only to be told to cede space to a self-entitled white person. If anything, you’re the self-entitled white person demanding Rosa Parks cede her space to you. Yeah, the truth hurts, doesn’t it? But when you are able to assess wrong and right based on a coherent moral framework, this is the inescapable conclusion. Any protest that has a male claiming space in a female-only restroom is NOT a noble act of defiance. All it’s going to do is demonstrate how relentless certain men are when it comes to violating women’s boundaries. So relentless that they risk being arrested just to do it.
If you’ve read this far, you’re probably still thinking I’ve got this all wrong. History will vindicate you, is what that gremlin is assuring you. Bathroom protests are totally like the lunch counter sit-ins of yesteryear, he urges you to believe. Again, you need to ignore him and run towards the light, Carol Anne.
Single-sex restrooms and Jim Crow apartheid differ from each other in an incredibly important way: the latter was the product of oppression and the former was not. The white ruling establishment denied black customers the right to sit where everyone else did because they considered blacks inferior. When black people defied the rules through protest, they did so by challenging the idea that they were inferior. This is an important point, because it meant they couldn’t simply break the law to be successful. They had to do it in a way that made the law look unjust, at least to the mainstream public.
Now consider bathrooms. We don’t have female-only facilities because men are oppressed. Society doesn’t deny men the right to use women’s restrooms based on society viewing men as inferior. Society has a long history of considering women inferior, but that is not why men’s restrooms exist either. We have separate facilities because most people value privacy from the opposite sex when it comes to intimate affairs. That’s it. And when men insist on violating this norm, it immediately raises predatory red flags. Because no good guy has a problem with giving women privacy. Only the bad guys do.
And this is why the TIM who inspired this post is only hurting the trans movement. Continue to root for more of these stunts if it pleases you, but understand that it’s taking y’all nowhere except down. What better way of showing the world how self-entitled you are than dying on the hill of attacking women’s boundaries?

I agree completely with your view of the behavior traits the vast majority of girls and women have spent our lives showing.
