Trans is still relatively new and cool now but the next stage is "headmates" and "systems."

If you weren't around Tumblr six or seven years ago, let me explain:

Trans stuff became huge on Tumblr and then when it started to become more mainstream, it became almost passé. The demi-boys and femme non-binary crabgenders needed something new, so they started faking having Disassociative Identity Disorder.

Whether or not DID is real, the way that these people portray it is not. They pretend to have multiple personalities, which the becomes a fight for the rights of multiple people in a single body, or a "system" if you will.

I used to work in silicon Valley tech. This was a breeding ground for the original first waves of AGP tech nerds. Now, it's all about being "systems."

You might see them on Twitter already. They use "we" pronouns and say things like "we are a trans woman." They're always trans, too. Because of course.

The tech company that rhymes with moogle has support groups for "system" employees. They influence HR policy. They're 99% straight white TIMs, though the odd NLOG TIF joins in.

And the way they recruit is startlingly similar. Feel left out? Feel like a weirdo? Like no one understands you? Do you have "trauma"? You're probably a system! It's definitely not just that you have emotions and a personality!

Mark my words. This is next.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but why are TIMs over-represented in tech/programming?

In my experience it's an extension of toxic masculinity and incel culture. They are nerds who have grown up being bullied by jocks and "chads" and can't relate to their imaginary standard guy who likes sport and bbq, so they assume that they aren't men at all.

Some of them see affirmative action in tech firms and assume that women have it "easier" and others are just pornsick fetishists. Throw into the mix the fact that a lot of them are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent and you have the perfect environment to spawn Tim's.

I remember looking at an Incel message board years ago and I think a lot of those guys have some form of dysmorphia. They would obsess over their chins or height when cleaning their rooms, getting a hobby and being considerate to potential partners would have taken them much further.

Nerds are in every field though, and affirmative action is not unique to tech firms. Are boys who were bullied by other boys more likely to end up in tech? If that's the case, I wonder why.

Silicon Valley tech nerds work ridiculous hours and spend most of the little free time they get online. They're overworked, undersocialized, and disproportionately autistic. The perfect storm of risk factors for developing a hyperfixation, and gender is the popular one right now.

Because the autistic boys gets sucked into trans culture the same as the girls do.
