There used to be a women's only fitness in the area I lived in in the early 2000s...it was wonderful. Everyone was so much more relaxed.

My worry is if you have female-only train cars, then women who end up in the mixed ones will be harassed even more because they are seen as "asking for it".
Also, if we end up segregating lots of stuff, odds are the women's stuff will be crappier.

Men are the biggest threats to women. The majority has been assaulted by men once in their lifetime
We are left with boundary-dwelling, women-only spaces, fortresses and nations built by female separatists to sustain collectives beyond the patriarchal society
You want your predators (men) who see you as a "fair game" outside women-only spaces breathing down your neck? Please don't expect everyone to feel comfortable in mixed spaces

Be “free” among men then. Leave the rational women who want to protect ourselves in our female-only spaces.

We have always had women only changing rooms, toilets, yes, even women only swims without ending up with a Saudi situation.
In Europe, it is normal for women to participate in public life (might become less common thanks to not having safe public toilets anymore ...), so a woman who goes out there is not seen as freak or fair game.
We have also had womens' parking lots for quite a while, with the understanding that women can park where we damn well please, but are entitled to the safest spaces close to the exits because males like to assault women who wakl over a dark parking lot at night.
So, I don't see a problem with expanding that.
There's usually enough libfems and naive young women who still go to places where there are men. (I AM very much in favour for women only spaces only being advertised in radfem media, so they don't get invaded by libfems who voted to open all traditionally segregated spaces to men and now order their clothes over the internet because they don't feel comfortable with the TIMs in their changing rooms but don't want to admit they made a very, very, very stupid and idiotic mistake.)

!!! Where is this, I would love to know. I’m relieved that exists but the reason for it existing in the first place is indeed quite sad.
