Hi, sisters! Nice to meet you all for the first time.I am a radfem form Asia. Here are my answers to several questions in the pinned post.

Q: What drew you towards feminism?

A: From a young age, both the family and school educational policies are aimed at conditioning women to willingly and blindly get married and have children. However, I felt uncomfortable and suffocated by all of this. Seeds of doubt were planted in my heart. In early 2021, I encountered many sisters on a certain platform who were similar to me.They were struggling, angry, and unwilling to accept the status quo. They were so natural and full of vitality. I learned that women are used by the government as a tool to maintain stability, to appease men and prevent them from rioting. And women are too docile and easy to be controlled like cotton sheep, so the laws written by men are more biased towards men in the implementation process. We have come to the unspoken conclusion that we need violence, we need more bad woman. I came into contact with the thoughts of Korean feminist sisters, including the concepts of 6b4t: no sexual relations, dating, marriage, or childbirth with men; not buying misogynistic products; supporting women's mutual aid; rejecting religious influence, restrictive clothing, otaku culture, and idolatry.

Q: What have been your experiences the feminist movement?

A: No. Currently, I am still in underground combat mode. My country is currently engaged in witch-hunting in the new era. They do not allow the presence of voices that contradict the mainstream. Once such voices emerge, they will delete posts, impose bans, deactivate accounts, and even detain individuals, which affects learning, work, and personal life. You may be labeled as a crazy woman and be locked up in a mental hospital or confined by your family. Only feminism that benefits men is allowed to exist.

Q: How did you first encounter feminist thought? Books or blogs, youtubers or conversatisions with feminst friends?

A: On the majority of online platforms in my country, the term "women's rights" is often censored or indirectly mentioned. Initially, when I saw the homophonic abbreviation, I didn't even associate it with the concept of women's rights. As each group chatroom was being shut down, some sisters suggested that we should go to Twitter, where speech is relatively free, and there's no need to use abbreviations for homophones. It is less likely to have our accounts suspended or banned without reason. Afterwards, when I joined Twitter, I encountered sisters where groups of people tirelessly spread awareness and knowledge. I became one of those who benefitted from their efforts.

Q: Has your feminism changed over your life? For instance, were you a liberal feminist who radicalised?

A: At first, I believed in gender equality for both men and women. However, as I witnessed numerous wrongdoings committed by men, I came to understand that choosing neutrality between the disadvantaged and the privileged actually meant taking the side of the privileged. As a result, I naturally became an advocate for radical feminism.

Q: What changes has becoming a feminist made to your life, your perspectives, your activism, your relationships, etc?

A: I often feel angry. I can no longer engage in romantic relationships with men, pretend to ignore all forms of discrimination, and tolerate men's sense of entitlement. In the past, I felt like a combination of contradictions, with countless chaotic thoughts in my mind. But now, my logic is consistent and coherent.I have grown to love life and experience the vastness and diversity of existence, instead of being confined to the expectation of getting married and having children after graduation.

Q: What are your priorities as a feminist?

A: To be alive, To uphold the position of being a female engineer, Find ours sisters.

English is not my native language, so please excuse any mistakes in my expression.

————————Thank you all sisters for the warm welcome.🥰

My English level is nothing to write home about.😋I utilized the translation and correction features of the Mira AI.However, there are certain expressions that cannot be translated effectively.🥺I hope that in future communication processes, I can continuously improve my English conversation skills to the point where I can communicate effectively with everyone without relying on translation tools.

Best exchange in Friends:

Chandler’s dad: “Aren't you a little too old to be wearing a dress like that?”

Chandler’s mom: “Don’t you have a little too much penis to be wearing a dress like that?”

😅😂🤣

Transphobic. Chandler Bing’s dad is a gay man who openly cheats on Chandler’s mom and continually embarrasses Chandler throughout his life by publicly engaging in transvestism. It’s not at all unrealistic for Chandler to express discomfort and embarrassment at his dad (and mom) acting out sexually. Most kids are embarrassed of their parents for far less than publicly engaging in sexual fetishes. The writers wrote the characters in an absurdly comedic way, but if you read a few transwidow stories and observe how Bruce Jenner treats his family it doesn’t seem that far off from reality.

They're probably pissed that his TIM dad was played by Catherine Turner, a woman.

They should be honored. In reality, no TIM is as hot as Catherine Turner. 🤣

Sorry, it's Kathleen Turner. My bad!

Yes the role should have gone to Rod “Laverne” Cox 😆

NoonefromnowhereOctober 29, 2023

Wait, his actual name is ROD COX? I mean, I'd want to change that too.

And its no way in hell Transphobic. Chandler and Monica go out of their way to invite him to their wedding, respected him as he was, attended his performance, and never made fun of him.

I don't think we should even accept that a term in our vocabulary because it comes with the assumption people can change sex. Not to mention people's many objections to people calling themselves "trans" and going about their way to invade women's spaces is a some sort irrational fear. It's not, it a valid concern.

I know you know this, just saying. I won't ever call anything "transphobic.'

If there is someone objecting to a man wearing a dress it is entirely something else. I hesitate to call it sexism so something else.

Imo there are some situations where it is inappropriate for a man to wear a dress, at least in my culture, which is American.

That doesn't mean he can't dress in a feminine way, but let's just say I agreed completely with that funeral home director who didn't want his male employee greeting bereaved families dressed as a woman.

A 20+ year old show doesn't perfectly align with modern woke politics!? I am shocked!!!

For real, these assholes never miss an opportunity to exploit a tragedy

ArmyofMeOctober 29, 2023

It’s almost impressive how they make everything about themselves. Almost.

Everything but cramps, being the victim of a rape and those unnecessary eras of a woman's life from between the ages of 1-9 and 24-100.

As far as homophobia goes, it was remarkably progressive for its time. Carol and Susan were good people and good parents with a good relationship. As I recall some local stations objected to airing a lesbian wedding.

Though I'm sure the TRAs don't want to tip their caps to Friends for being on the cutting edge with that... because they don't care about women.

Did we see any "Remember, Three is Company was part of the sexist school of 'jiggle entertainment' of the 70s, and is sexist. RIP to poor, exploited Suzanne Sommers"? Of course not. No one wants to be a killjoy calling out the sexism and misogyny of so much offered as entertainment.

I'm just now finding out the guy who beat up Justin Trudeau died. This is really sad. Rest In Peace.
