Every now and then, an article about migrant men committing a violent sexual assault is spread around on reddit and twitter. The subreddit r/europe is full of them. The article often is about shocking rapes, and the perpetrator(s) go pretty much unscathed.

Recently there was a report from Germany where 9 men raped a 15 year old teenage girl, not coordinated, she would go ask for help disoriented and the next man she asked help to would do the same thing. Some of it was filmed, and their DNA was traced, but 8 of them went completely free. I think the judge mentioned that some of them were "uprooted linguistically and culturally", which implies that they are somehow victims, which is enraging. They also said that since they can't prove the assault was coordinated, they can't charge it as one (which makes no sense to me but okay...).

The problem is this : far right men think the problem is the "migrant" part and not the "men". They think that the justice is favorable to their release because of the migrant part and not because of the "men" part. And they only see headlines of migrant men committing sexual crimes, but don't understand that white nationals commit the same crimes the difference is they don't make the headlines. So they either assume that white men don't do this, or that when they do the rapists are rightfully punished.

I remember a guy from my school arguing that women often lie about sexual assault. Then in the same breath, without a hint of irony, talked about how awful migrants were for sexually assaulting the women from this country and that the solution was to prevent migration. He pulled up statistic of how many women in the country had been SAed, as if every single one of then had been SAed by migrants, when we know statistically that's not the case.

Many people say rape is hard to prove, and it's somewhat true. But what most people don't know, is that even in cases where the evidence is irrefutable, rapists often go free. DNA test, signs of abuse and mutilation, or even videos and confessions are not enough to lock up rapists. "We can't ruin their lives" and other bs. I will never forget that in France, a 14 year old girl who called firefighters when she was home alone because there was a fire, was raped by 30 of them. AND THEY WENT FREE. Why ? Because according to the (female) judge, the victim wasn't all that innocent. The only ones who made an outrage was feminists. No one else picked up this story, and it died down very quickly, when if the culprits had been migrants it would've been everywhere.

The same goes for domestic violence, femicides, or any other crime really (theft, murder...).

When I was on twitter many radfems would retweet far right activists accounts when they would post rage bait articles and say "look!! we aren't safe from migrant men either!!" and I'm sure they think they're being revolutionary by implying that migrant men can be dangerous to women too, as if that isn't already the dominant narrative, but I hope you understand that these men are fighting against your interests too. They don't care that rape happened, they care about who the rapist is. To them, it's embarassing that men from countries they deem inferior have access to "their" women. That's it, that's all. Their solution will never be a fairer justice system and more empathy to victims, it will always be stricter immigration laws, which I'm sorry to break it to you but will not fix the issue of male violence, unless you are implying that male violence was imported in the west by migrants which is just laughable.
