I don't know if you all have seen the latest news reports coming out from eye-witness accounts about the mass rapes on Oct 7. There are multiple reports now that along with the rapes, the victims who were killed, and it appears to be all of them, had been genitally mutilated. The terrorists specifically mutilated the women's breasts and genitals. Knives and sharp objects were stuck up their vaginas. Breasts were sliced off. Breasts and genitals were shot at.
I wasn't thinking of posting those articles here when I started seeing them, so can't go back to find links. One article I read said it's common for terrorists like these to have tons of violent porn on their computer hard drives. My memory may be wrong but I thought I read violent porn made up of 80% of content saved on their hard drive.
I can't even find words and descriptions horrific enough to describe this phenomenon. This is not political rebellion, or war. This is a very deep, sick hatred reserved specifically toward women. There is nothing political or ideological (in the political sense) that can explain this except a very very deep seated hate for women.
As much as it's a public information service for some media to report these, I feel there's a dire lack of the news reports to point out this is extremism of misogyny. These are all still being reported as a political conflict between Palestine and Israel, as if these horrific acts are just part of something political. No, they are not. The same things weren't done to male Israeli victims. It's not even rape as part of war, which we know has been the case ever since there was war. It's misogyny in the extremism, and I feel there needs to be a new word for it. It is distinct and separate from whatever the war or conflict is about. It is a separate war on women that is entirely a war on its own, apart from whatever the war and conflict between the men are about. This might not even have much to do with Hamas and Israel. It's about men waging war on women.
i don't know how this can be raised as an issue beyond here. I don't know how people with media platforms or people with influence can't see this.
