you'd think after Me Too Hollywood would be wiser, but no, they've given Depp some big award even though he's a cut and dry, textbook domestic abuser. he funded a televised court case where he acted throughout - take the 'megapint' example - he used the megapint thing to make Amber's lawyer look bad and everyone loved it on social media, but the megapint was actually a term Depp had used in a previous statement/hearing and that's why the lawyer had used that term. And oh my the absolute childishness of Depp having this whole 'you will never see my eyes again'. That video of Johnny violently hitting cupboards right next to Amber? that's abuse. Johnny telling his mate how he fantisised about killing Amber and then raping her to check she was dead? that's abuse. Their initial first kiss onscreen where Johnny broke professional conduct around actors kissing and went all in on tongues and hands etc? sexual harrassment and abuse of power. etc etc etc. I'm sure there's so much more to be said on this but I can't stand how anyone could think a man who fantasises about killing and raping his wife isn't abusive. like, what the actual fuck? why are we awarding this guy's mass manipulation using social media to trash his ex-wife and salvage his reputation? And I say this as someone who used to really like Johnny Depp!
