Does anyone have a list of great women who died in childbirth or pregnancy complications in general? Let me start...

Charlotte Brontë English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Brontë sisters who survived into adulthood and whose novels became classics of English literature died from pregnancy complications shortly after marrying in her late thirties... : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlotte_Brontë

Mary Wollstonecraft considered the mother of Feminism and also the mother of Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin Shelley a great woman in her own right and the author of the Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Wollstonecraft

But Proto-Feminist Moderata Fonte is the worst case from this list as she died during childbirth RIGHT ON THE DAY AFTER she finished her work The Merits of Women, Wherein is Revealed Their Nobility and their Superiority to Men : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moderata_Fonte

... Heartbreaking no? And some of them were Feminists too... These great women were taken from us due to reasons exclusive to the biological female condition... Something that only a real woman can do and no male person can do...

Any more successful accomplished great women who died in childbirth or pregnancy complications that you know?

"No females who identified as transgender men sought to transfer to a men’s prison."

I wonder why?

Hard to fathom isn’t it?

Yup, that’s a consistent number found in other incarcerated TiM populations in the US and the UK.

The dailywire isn't the best source, obviously. But i thought this was interesting.

archive link

The report found that 91.7% of male inmates who identified as transgender women surveyed were incarcerated for a violent offense, including 41.6% for homicide. By contrast, according to the Correctional Service of Canada’s 2021 annual report, 25.8% of male inmates (who identify as male) were serving sentences for a violent offense, which includes homicide/manslaughter, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other violent offenses.

So, more of them are in for violent offenses.

About 94% of the crimes were committed prior to adopting a transgender identity,

And they ID only after the crime.

Correctional Service Canada's study because we all know sometimes news reporters misrepresent studies.

Two-fifths (40%) of the study group were serving a second or subsequent sentence; these offenders had an established criminal history and the majority (86%) were convicted of violent offences.

Sixteen percent of offenders applied for a transfer to an institution that matched their gender identity; 64% were approved. The majority (88%) were for trans-women.

I'm actually surprised more don't try to be transferred.

In the past, there have been posts that are more generally on the topic rather than focused on an individual, so i hope this is okay to post here.

Lifelong Leftist here, I no longer auto dismiss right wing media.

Instead, I take each story as it comes and apply critical thinking.

Been burned more times than I care to admit by the legacy left wing press.

I don't think I've seen any studies looking at the type of TIM criminality in Canada so this is useful to post. Wish it was some other outlet than the Daily Wire but what can you do... even the Post won't misgender people.

Wow. I have said before that if I was ever to go to prison, I would think it safer to identify as man and go to the male prison, as the men there at least aren't ALL rapists, while any man in the women's prison is pretty much guaranteed to be one.

I'm a bit surprised at just how right I was about that.

In other news, we need oxygen to survive and water is wet.

Is anyone good enough at statistics to verify these numbers? I'd love to send this to my MP, but seeing the source might make it easy to disregard.

I would say read the direct report from the Correctional Service Canada's study, it's a government organization so i think it'd probably a safer source.

The research is available online, so you could send the research and summarize it with the points from the daily wire. I don't think CBC or CTV or the Globe and Mail are going to report on this anytime soon. I can send you R-442 – Examination of Gender Diverse Offenders if you DM me an email address. There are 2 studies, but I'm not sure which one has which information.
