Colleges know very well that this isn't what Trump means by these orders. They are enacting this out of spite. Women are always punished and used as a political tool.

That's giving Trump the benefit of the doubt, which is something he's proven he doesn't deserve. This is happening at the Pentagon, too. Trump considers contributions from women and racial minorities to be "DEI", so pages honoring them on the DoD's website were taken down. One Black medal of honor recipient's page had the url edited to say "deimedal-of-honor". Some of the pages have been restored, but that this even happened to begin with is fucking disgusting.

Maybe this all seems childish, but it should be called out for what it is: a clear attempt to erase the contributions of women and minorities at a federal level, permeating down to other institutions such as universities. If they can erase these people, at least to some degree, they can slowly rewrite history to suit their patriarchal and white supremacist fantasy.

Tbh I find it a little bit bizarre that you would blame the President for this and not some bad actor within the agency doing it on purpose to be maliciously compliant

I seriously doubt this is being enacted out of spite. Auditing and overhauling websites and web content that's been around for years is not a quick and easy task, and if there are deadlines that can risk funding, the work isn't going to be as thorough and efficient as it could be. From the article:

Campus administrators taking this approach argue that, when tasked with reviewing massive numbers of webpages and programs, keywords make it easier to arrive at a smaller, more manageable pool to review.

which is true, but that doesn't make keywords an effective, accurate tool. They're swatting flies with hammers, maybe because they lack more specific guidelines in what to remove or not remove.

Any woman who voted for the Orange Fürher is a class traitor. I’m sickened by the amount of “GC” women on this site alone who justified their votes for this creature. Yeah, he’s stopping all the gender shit, but he also is cutting Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. I’m disabled and idk if I’m even gonna have a place to live by the end of the year, or if my SSI payments will get cut off or delayed. My food share benefits could completely go away, as well. More importantly, fascism is here. Anti-intellectualism, erosion of abortion rights, white supremacy, classism, misogyny, homophobia, etc are all on the rise. Our government is horribly corrupt. We have a man who proudly did Nazi salutes in charge of getting rid of every important governmental service!

I’m just so unbelievably pissed at “feminists” who voted for this garbage. It’s very disheartening and frustrating. I can’t understand it tbh.

what a lot of users here seem to forget too is that trump is against transgenderism for very different reasons than GCs.

conservatives and GCs agree transgenderism is fetishistic, but that’s kind of where our viewpoint similarities end

we’re against it because it’s misogynistic and homophobic, and we think anyone should be able to be GNC without being thought of as the opposite sex. we see it as enforcing gender roles.

conservatives are against it because they see it as freakish and against traditional family values. they see it as not enforcing gender roles.

Part of me is concerned that it was a psyop tbh. Elon Musk flooded Twitter with AI MAGA accounts before the election. It would be significantly harder to carry out such a thing on Ovarit due to it being invite-only, but given that the "STOP FEARMONGERING ABOUT PROJECT 2025" and "AT LEAST HE KNOWS WHAT A WOMAN IS" rhetoric seems to have reached a fever pitch over the summer and fall and since simmered down considerably, who knows what could have happened.

I think there were operatives here.

Orange Fürher

Give me a break. It is a sign of the utmost privilege to compare a controversial politician to a man who killed millions of people in death camps. Criticize him all you want, but knock that shit off it makes you look absurd

EstelleMarch 18, 2025

You guys always jump to the end of Hitler's regime when you criticize this comparison. You're looking at the wrong part of the timeline. This is the beginning stage, and those parallels are disturbing.

Exactly. Thank you.

That's such a good way of putting it. It's crazy how quickly things are developing, though, shipping people off to a Salvadoran prison with zero due process and ICE running absolutely wild, arresting permanent residents and people traveling from other countries. It's only a matter of time before someone ends up seriously injured or even dead as a result of this.

Everyone conveniently forgets how Hitler managed to amass so much power.

That has already happened. Laken Riley is the name of one such victim. FYI, having a green card does not mean you cannot be legally deported.

Those of us who have studied the Holocaust see it much differently.

Are you familiar with the signs of fascism, or stages of genocide?

Dismissing Trump as simply a “controversial politician” is disingenuous.
