I don’t even understand how it’s supposed to be demeaning? Tons of people are “banned” from joining the military, because they (rightfully so) have requirements - I used to get tons of calls from recruiters, trying to get me to join, which I would never anyway LMAO but when I told him once “I’m diagnosed autistic, and legally blind without glasses,” he said “oh I’m so sorry to bother you,” and never called again 😂

And it’s not an insult or “demeaning” or whatever else, it’s just a fact - I’m unfit for military service, oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not everyone gets to do everything they want.

Yeah I'm hypothyroid. Miss my pill for a week or two I'm done for. I wouldn't qualify. That's not demeaning, it's just practical.

I have mild psoriasis. I can't serve.

I tried to sign up for National Guard back in my 20's. The recruiter took one at me (I was, at the time, about 50 pounds overweight), pulled out his thick manual of rules and regs, and very pointedly read me the section on acceptable height-to-weight ratios. I wouldn't have made a good soldier anyway, but to be proactively rejected was depressing.

Okay now that does sound demeaning and I’m sorry you experienced that, he didn’t have to be rude about it

My feet are flat as hell, and I have a raunchy case of the ADHD, both of which make me unsuitable for military service. It's chill. I'm able to support my country as a public servant in a different capacity, one for which I am suited.

Ultimately, the military is a fighting force. These people are demanding to be let in despite choosing to make themselves permanently unfit for combat. In the middle of a battle, where are trans people going to dilate/inject/topically apply? Should female service members be required to share facilities with biological males? If so, how far along in their "transition" must the biological male be before gaining access to female spaces? Where can trans service members be stationed, taking into account local attitudes toward gender shit? Or, do they expect to only work stateside in some sort of administrative capacity, reaping the benefits of military service - especially that sweet, affirming healthcare - without the inconvenience of deployment?

It's strange to see a group of people who won't accept that not every thing, and not every place, is for them. Stranger still to observe their female supporters, who are so desperate for validation and belonging that they'll say they believe anything if it gets people to like them.

Demeaning is being forced to serve with perverted transvestites.

asmahanMarch 21, 2025

And be housed and shower with them.

CattitudeMarch 21, 2025

Exactly.

Where were all the judges to stop men from intruding and appropriating women’s spaces and sports during Biden’s term and the crazy gender crap that was implemented? Why wasn’t there an immediate court block to allowing any males into women prisons??? No one cared about protecting the safety, fairness, and rights of girls and women 😡

sensusquaeramraised by wolvesMarch 19, 2025(Edited March 19, 2025)

The court does not seem to believe that there is a difference between rights granted for women and rights expanded for men who think they are women. There are no rights trans persons do not have in the United States, there are simply rights of others that trans persons cannot infringe upon in order to uphold the lie that they are the opposite sex.

So for those following these labyrinthine proceedings, Reyes ordered a preliminary injunction, and added this:

“The court knows that this opinion will lead to heated public debate and appeals. In a healthy democracy, both are positive outcomes,” Reyes wrote. (https://apnews.com/article/trump-transgender-troops-military-7e1a52f94ee60dcd58d4c2086e14acc3)

Onward it goes.

Pas_Une_ParisienneMarch 19, 2025

Reyes cited the show for the quote "women were included in the sequel" when women were granted the right to vote.

Women fought/ fight for marital rape criminalisation, for the right to work, for abortion, for the right to vote, for our reserved places and sports,.... But a MAN says, “I’m a woman,” and our struggles are his costume to claim

SamhainMarch 20, 2025

That's not even the right quote from Hamilton. Or what the quote is about. Did this man even see that musical, or does he just identify as having seen it?

🎶 We hold these truths to be self-evident That all men are created equal" And when I meet Thomas Jefferson I'ma compel him to include women in the sequel 🎶

Did someone appoint this judge commander and chief of the military when I wasn't paying attention

MarthaMMCMarch 19, 2025(Edited March 19, 2025)

This Judge also considers it untrue & unscientific to say there are only 2 sexes.

But the wording in the ban which says trans people are thus acting without honor by basically claiming transness probably left it open to discrimination claims using the Dem interpretation claiming Bostock covers gender identity instead of narrow interpretation of sex discrimination.

The Trump admin would have more valid objections based on the medical/surgical issues which are similar to other conditions where people who take certain maintenance meds are not accepted into the armed forces, as they cannot guarantee in combat readiness situations that they will be able to consistently get their medications.

This is all going to hit SCOTUS at some point.

You bet.

Judges run the country, apparently

hard_headed_womanMarch 19, 2025

Yeah, the military brass don't take too kindly to interference. They think they're the fourth branch of government and can do whatever they want.

asmahanMarch 21, 2025

This comment doesn't make any sense. Military falls under the executive branch. The military isn't out interfering in domestic society or butting heads with congress or the courts, or its civilian bosses. People watch too many movies.

hard_headed_womanMarch 21, 2025

I mean within the military. Of course, they're not out interfering in society.
