Feminism is the movement to liberate women from patriarchy.
We stand up for the rights of women as a sex-class. Women have a right to bodily autonomy and to set their own boundaries and have them respected. We resist efforts to limit women's reproductive autonomy. We condemn the men who exploit and abuse women in prostitution and pornography. We oppose all harms and forms of exploitation of women and girls, regardless of whether or not they're sold as "choice" or re-framed as "empowering." We oppose the movement to redefine "women" in a way that erases the realities of our lives and makes organizing for our liberation as a sex-class impossible.

Sally Hines was saying the other day on Twitter that women in Afghanistan never asked for privileged white Karens to speak for them and we have no idea how they feel about the culture. Boycotting events in protest of the Taliban is typical white liberal woman bullshit to her.
This is someone who is followed by 1000s of people for her feminist takes. Someone needs to send her this. Maybe she'll be like "How do you know Afghanistani girls even WANT lifesaving surgery? Fuck your Western obsession with surviving childhood."
Tell her that the Taliban refuse to let them opt out of oppression by identifying as male. Once they're identified as evil TERFs then they're allowed to be criticized.
